CEO and Founder |
Thomas J. FanellThomas J. Fanell is the CEO and founder of American Steel Processing Company. After nearly 45 years in the transportation and waste management businesses in the northeastern United States, Tom came to Bay County, Florida in 1997. Seeing that the area relied heavily upon its waste-to-energy facilities, Tom realized he had found the place that he could bring to life his vision of running a first-class metals processing business, and at the same time, be a responsible contributor to the welfare of the local environment. Tom began the business with just one truck and one location and now the corporate footprint can be seen at work from Florida to New York and to places around the world with hundreds of pieces of equipment moving close to 75,000 tons annually. Tom is the proud father of three children and six grandchildren. |
